The Burgundy Signature
In 1830, Arthur Barolet founded a small family business in Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wines, which was known only to a small number of connoisseurs who appreciated the quality of its wines. His grandson, also called Arthur, left medicine and Paris in 1920 to take care of the family business. Today, the quality and tradition established by the former owners are perpetuated in the 19th century cellars of the House in Savigny-lès-Beaune. The House owns vineyards including part of the Clos des Guettes, a renowned 1er Cru in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Clous and Grands Echezeaux.
As for the other appellations, the best vintages are selected from winegrowers who care about quality and the wines are aged in 228-litre French oak barrels, thus respecting the Burgundian tradition. Arthur Barolet & fils offers a range of Burgundy wines including Chablis, Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
