Château d'Aigueville
A setting of nature and tradition
Nestling in the heart of the Massif d'Uchaux, Château d'Aigueville is a veritable sanctuary of vines, olive trees and woodland, extending over 37 hectares in a single block. As the leading producer in its appellation, it perpetuates a winegrowing heritage dating back two millennia, while preserving an exceptionally rich ecosystem. Certified organic by Ecocert, the estate promotes biodiversity to produce wines that authentically express the unique terroirs of the Massif d'Uchaux.
Located in the southern Rhône Valley, just 5 km from Orange, the estate benefits from ideal conditions for viticulture: sun-drenched hills, the beneficial influence of the Mistral wind and exceptional soils. Its blends include Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Cinsault for the reds, and Clairette, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc for the whites. Its name, Aigueville, which means ‘the town of water’, echoes the underground spring from the Sorgue, which has fed this land for over two thousand years and ensured the prosperity of the vineyards.
