Henri de Villamont

An exceptional heritage in Burgundy

In the heart of Burgundy, in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Henri de Villamont has been perpetuating exceptional know-how since the end of the XIXᵉ century. It was Léonce Bocquet, a passionate winegrower and owner of the famous Château du Clos de Vougeot, who had these emblematic buildings erected, dedicated to the vinification and ageing of the wines from his estates. He entrusted this task to Charles Suisse, a renowned architect and teacher at the Beaux-Arts, who created an imposing and unique building, quickly recognised as one of the jewels of Burgundy's wine heritage.

After several changes of ownership, the house was acquired by the Schenk family group in 1964. From then on, Henri de Villamont established itself as a benchmark in Burgundy. Committed to sustainable agriculture and winemaking that respects the terroirs, Henri de Villamont rigorously selects its grapes and winemaking partners. Each cuvée is the fruit of meticulous work aimed at sublimating the unique expression of each climate. The balance between tradition and modernity guides the house in the production of wines of remarkable finesse, authentic reflections of the prestigious Burgundy vineyards.
