We obtain your personal data when you visit and browse schenk-wine.ch.

In principle, your personal data is not transmitted to third parties, unless a legal obligation requires us to do so or the fulfilment of your order requires the involvement of one of our partner service providers (payment providers, carriers, creditworthiness check providers).

Schenk Suisse SA, its entities and any possible subcontractors that process or access your personal data will do so mainly from Switzerland or the EEA. Where data is processed outside Switzerland or the EEA, and in accordance with the FADP and the DPO, Schenk Suisse SA will first ensure that an adequate level of protection of individuals’ fundamental right to data protection is guaranteed, in particular by adopting the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We may share your personal data with other members of the SCHENK group located in Switzerland for the purposes of order administration and customer management. The data will be retained for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and for a maximum period of 3 years after the last order, unless the law requires us to retain it for a longer period. It will then be destroyed or anonymised.

4. Data security
We take appropriate security measures (both organisational and technological) to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

5. Rectification of your personal data
We attach great importance to the accuracy of the data we hold about you.

From your customer account, you can update your personal information yourself at any time.

  • If you have created an account and wish to close it, you can submit a request to customer service: schenk@schenk-wine.ch.
  • You may also restrict the processing of your personal data; if at any time we have asked for your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
  • You may request to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured and machine-readable format (portability).
  • You may object to the processing in certain situations.

These rights may, however, be limited in certain situations. If this is the case, the reason for the exception provided for in the FADP, the DPO or the GDPR will be communicated to you. This applies in particular where we are able to prove that we are legally required to process your data, or where such data infringes the rights of a third party, including our own rights, or where you ask us to erase data and we are legally required to retain it, or where retaining it is in our legitimate interests.

6. Payment security

No data relating to your card is processed or stored by Schenk Suisse SA. Your data is processed directly via our secure electronic payment partner Shopify Payments or Twint.
