Pierre Amadieu Gigondas

PRESTIGE VINTAGE

A family business founded in 1929 in Gigondas, Maison Pierre Amadieu, located in the heart of Provence in the Vaucluse department, is renowned worldwide and regularly obtains distinctions and high-level ratings.

The Gigondas region is made up of a series of hillsides and undulations in the Dentelles de Montmirail massif. The Mediterranean climate, with the importance of the Mistral, is perfectly suited to good vine growing. The composition of the mainly clay-limestone soil contributes through its various elements to giving the vintage its personality. The altitude, which varies from 160 to 400 m, is ideal for producing quality wine.

The grapes come from the 40 ha of old vines (over 50 years old), located on the highest part of the family vineyard (400 m altitude). The terroir of limestone gravel offers a very poor soil which magnifies the aromas, the color, the concentration of the berries. The quantity is limited.
